The size of the room was very good, comfortable with great views over city & country side.T.he breakfast was good on the first day but when it became busier there were problems with replenishment. The room also had a large balcony with table & chairs.
The service in the room could have been better, the glasses used were not washed up, I am not sure if this a Spanish thing as in the next hotel I am staying at the same thing happened. This does not happen in other countries I have travelled in. Also the patio was not cleaned for 3 days I had to clean the table myself.
It was quiet at night and pretty. Very comfortable rooms and beds. The rooms were also clean and very large. The staff were excellent -- very helpful/pleasant.
Too far from the city to allow for wandering around. Given that leaving the hotel was an effort, there was nothing to do at the hotel if you wanted to spend some relaxing time there (weather too cold for the pool).
Beautiful, charming building with old world service and a nice orange garden. Sights near, but bring your car. Parking is free. Aldomovar castle is a must, for castle lovers......
Supuerb location Excellent staff Good food
While the location was good in that there was a superb view one had to take a taxi. I wonder if the hotel could put on a mini bus for every holiday maker is only there to see the sights in the city?
The location was unbelievable, views to die for. The room was very large and very comfortable
Was a little hard to find. No signage was available at the entrance of the city like other Paradors.
Although the hotel is architecturally uninteresting from the outside, the interior is a superb example of 1960s design. The spectacular view from the terrace bar/restaurant more than makes up for the ugly building. The hotel itself runs like clockwork and the little touches - free towels by the pool, fantastic breakfasts (well worth the cost!) and a complementary glass of Fino at dinner - are luxurious reminders of the glory days of the hotel industry. For the money, it is astounding value.
Rooms very spacious, well furnished and well-equipped. Beautiful gardens.
Lack of information about the city e.g no city map available at reception. Generally poor level of communication. Rather out in the suburbs but local bus every half hour into the city
Fantastic swimming pool and gardens. Lovely dinner on the big terrace. Free car parking. Easy to find hotel.
Needed a taxi into and back out of town evryday...8 to 10 euros per trip Stayed four nights and unless we stayed down in town to eat/drink on an evening there was only a piza restauarant within walking distance of the hotel. Almost everything in Cordoba is closed on Mondays!
Our trip was on a very hot summer day and it was a little cooler at the Parador outside of Cordoba. The pool was very refreshing after a day of site seeing in the city. The rooms were large and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Restaurant prices were a little high for what was offered.
Although located outside the city it was free parking with excellent city bus service to downtown and of course the leisure facilities were superb.
Parking during fuctions for hotel guests
Great location with views of Cordoba - good standard overall. Very Large rooms - we had the superior twin with comfortable beds and good showers Dinner in the restaurant was good but menu selection a bit heavy for our taste
Staff a bit stuffy - problems when we checked in as we did not have passports - we live in Spain so did not carry them with us. This had not been a problem in other locations but this receptionist made her displeasure clear. MaitreD in restaurant Ok but not forth coming with menu or wine recommendations
It is a wonderful setting, and the rooms though somewhat dated are very clean, pleasant and comfortable. The terrace in front of the hotel is delightful. The service is mostly excellent. The breakfasts are very good.
Checking in and out lacks charm (a smile or two would be welcome!). We missed the tea and coffee-making facilities provided in other Spanish hotels, including Paradors. The evening food is a bit hit-and-miss - veering from just adequate to quite good - and so not specially good value for money. It is a shame that in Spain either the month (May) or the temperature (mid to high 20s C) is considered inappropriate for using a swimming pool: this one, a reason for our choosing this hotel, was filled, inviting, and locked away.
relaxing, good service, friendly staff, large bedroom, great gardens, terrific breakfast, fresh orange juice and fruit. Not too far from Cordoba. great views.
No internet access in rooms, smell of cigarette smoke in some of the corridors and public areas.
Nice & convenient place to stay for those who want to visit Cordoba and have a car.
